Marco stepped from the entryway to a chorus of boos from the crowd. It was clear that Iuz Nerull was going to be their hero in this contest. Iuz Nerull and Schembri threw a lot of trash back and forth before this one. There was some serious bad blood in this one. These fighters wholeheartedly hated each other. The media attention was not surprisingly huge for this event.

Both fighters came in with something to prove and its been no secret they the two were not the best of friends. Both of these guys showed up ripped and ready to fight.

Round 1 starts with a heavy jab followed by a groin strike that drops Nerull. "Ocho" throws a couple of knees, Iuz Nerull clinches with "Ocho" having the over/under-hooks, he is bleeding and has a huge welt on his forehead. "Ocho" shoots and gets Iuz Nerull down. Iuz Nerull gets back to his knees and "Ocho" is still trying for the takedown. Iuz Nerull gets back up to the feet and they are clinched back against the fence. From here, showing impeccable timing, Iuz Nerull scored a textbook double-leg takedown, ending in the half-guard. More heavy elbows from Iuz Nerull. Iuz Nerull stuns the crowd and Marco at the end of round 1 with a knees and punches that rolled Marco's eyes back in his head. Marco, visibly shaken, got a takedown and waited out the final few seconds of the round.

Round 2 begins with blazing pace, as the opponents begin to blindly punch each other. The exchange is even but the pace quickly loses steam as both fighters tire. Iuz drops down and takes Schembri down. Iuz immediately mounts Schembri and starts punching, but Schembri escapes and stands back up. Nerull threw wildly with chin in the eye and chin in the eye attempts, but landed few. Marco blocked and parried amazingly, and countered with his own chin in the eye that landed, sending Nerull to the canvas. "Ocho" sits up to strike and Nerull bucks him off, standing and throwing hammer fists. Iuz Nerull scoops up Schembri and powerfully slams him to the mat only to end up in a side choke. Schembri struggles to complete the submission but the horn sounds ending the round.

Schembri wasted little time attacking Iuz at the start of the round. Both tag each other, Marco lands a big uppercut and Nerull takes Marco down! Iuz stuffs Marco into the fence and lands some hard shots to his face. Marco attempts a triangle and Iuz passes, getting swept into side mount before sweeping as well – Marco on top of side mount. Nerull is starting to breathe heavy with an open mouth, but continues to throw leather. The fight ends with Nerull taking the TKO victory by arm injury at 04:51 of round 3.

The victory lap afterwards by Nerull lasted about as long as the fight itself. Schembri left the ring immediately, clearly disappointed in the result. When asked backstage if he was worried about trading strikes with Schembri, Nerull replied no. He further stated that Schembri is a quality fighter, but he felt that he just no match for himself. This is a tough loss for Schembri. He had been training so hard for this fight, but I'm sure we'll see him back in Eternal Rivals. The best thing he can do for now is learn from this loss and come back stronger.
