"The Peacemaker" Badr Gandhi emerged from the back, and made his way to the ring to a mixed reaction. Big "Bad" Bubba got more of the same. Clearly this fight was split down the middle in terms of favorites.

"Bad" walks out first to ACDC's "Thunderstruck". The crowd is deafening! No BS, this is one of those Rocky moments where even the ref is smiling and patting "Bad".
Now, the interesting part about this fight is, "Bad" is a very smart fighter. He knows exactly where he wants to take the fight, and isn't afraid to trade punches with Badr until he gets there. The question is, will the standup portion of the fight fare well for "Bad", or will he get caught with a knockout punch? I guess we'll have to wait and see. You could feel the tremendous respect these two fighters have for each other, as they touched gloves prior to the start of the fight. But as the retired to their respective corners, you couldnt help but realize that that wouldnt stop them from attempting to hurt the other as soon as that bell rung.

Big comes out throwing strikes at the start of round 1. Nice combo ended with a slam and punches by Big. Bubba lands a nice jab to Badr's head. "The Peacemaker" Badr Gandhi is bleeding from the face now. "Bad" is pressing the action. Big "Bad" Bubba worked the fightÂ’s best submission attempt when he caught "The Peacemaker" in an knee bar which Big "Bad" Bubba was just able to escape. Big "Bad" Bubba lands a knee as the crowd begins to chant his name. Big "Bad" Bubba pushes Badr off the fence and lands a HUGE spinning back fist from the clinch that knocks Badr down! Badr turtles up and Big "Bad" Bubba follows him down, and the fight ends in a TKO victory due to punishment at 01:16 of the round.

Gandhi was gracious in defeat, but even so he was primed for a rematch as soon as possible with Big. This is one fighter who hates to lose with a passion, and would not rest until he could avenge this loss.
