There were question marks concerning Mark "Hammer Fist" Coleman's ability to handle the Ground and Pound-stylist Jack "The Sub-Machine" Gunn. But those were questions were erased in a spectacular display in this exciting 2 round matchup. lonestar's Mark "Hammer Fist" Coleman took on "The Sub-Machine" in a gruelling 2 round afair.

Now, the interesting part about this fight is, Coleman is a very smart fighter. He knows exactly where he wants to take the fight, and isn't afraid to trade punches with Gunn until he gets there. The question is, will the standup portion of the fight fare well for Coleman, or will he get caught with a knockout punch? I guess we'll have to wait and see. You could feel the tremendous respect these two fighters have for each other, as they touched gloves prior to the start of the fight. But as the retired to their respective corners, you couldnt help but realize that that wouldnt stop them from attempting to hurt the other as soon as that bell rung. The ref talked the fighters through the usual rules. Neither seemed to notice as they were so intent and focused on the opponent standing across from them that in a few seconds they would be attempting to rip apart.

In round 1 Coleman came out and displayed his ever-improving stand-up skills in dominating fashion. Hard kick to the head lands for Mark to end breif feeling out period. Mark "Hammer Fist" Coleman punches and "The Sub-Machine" goes for Mark "Hammer Fist" Coleman's leg. Coleman lands a low kick to and then follows up with a head kicks that buckles "The Sub-Machine" to the mat. "The Sub-Machine" somehow rocked Mark with a strike, turning the tide to his favour. He immediately applied a perfect camel clutch, but the round ended before Mark tapped.

In round 2 it was Gunn again looking good with the low kicks and threading straight punches through to rattle Coleman. Jack "The Sub-Machine" Gunn throws some nice high kicks. The fighters circle as Jack "The Sub-Machine" Gunn continues to find his mark with his kicks. Jack is up and pushing Mark "Hammer Fist" Coleman into the cage. Jack has the over/under-hooks and back crunches Mark "Hammer Fist" Coleman down to the mat. Coleman slaps on a flying triangle choke just as the bell sounds closing out the fight. He is awarded the decision for his effort.

Gunn left the ring immediately following the loss. This was an important fight for him, and the loss was clearly a disappointment. Would he be back, or would he let this fight derail his career. The announcer is with Mark "Hammer Fist" Coleman for a post-fight interview. Fans are booing the hell out of Mark "Hammer Fist" Coleman right now. He thought "The Sub-Machine" was going to get the decision because the judges reward points for being on top.
