This fight pitted GLORY Championship Fighting favorite Mac of Usa against Canada-born Freestyle Fighting "The Real Deal". In a much anticipate fight, Ryan "The Real Deal" Ford, hailing from Canada, took on highly skilled Wrestling / Boxing practicioner, Mac "Dynomite" Danzig, in crowd pleasing 3 round fight.
Mac "Dynomite" Danzig looked calm and confident as the ref ran down the rules of the fight. Ryan "The Real Deal" Ford in comparison looked eager to get the fight started. Both of these guys showed up ripped and ready to fight.
Both guys trade shots to start off. Nice 1-2 combo by Danzig. Ford fought a smart fight from this point, working the fight on the ground where he dominated with his sweeps and solid positioning. Ryan "The Real Deal" Ford throws another nice left-right combo. Ryan "The Real Deal" Ford looks for an double armbar and then lands a nice upkick as "Dynomite" backs off. Showing great poise from the bottom, Mac put up some great offensive leading up bucking his hips and rolling Ford onto his back. He immeditaly goes for an handlock as Ford flails helplessly, but he slipped from his grasp, and that ended the round.
Round 2 begins with movement from "The Real Deal" and a steady jab. Ford landing some nice jabs. punch to the body by Ford lands solidly. A high kick followed by a shoot and Danzig is slammed to mat!
"The Real Deal" works an effective ground-and-pound before securing a ankle lock. Mac is able to break it though. Ford starts chucking bombs and Danzig has to go to the defensive. The round ends with a flurry of punches. A cut seems to have somehow opened up on Danzig and the doctor is checking in between rounds.
Ford threw the first strike, an elbow to the head. Danzig answered with a knee. Danzig very nearly got the win after throwing a knee to the ribs that caught Ford off guard. Danzig lands a right. Ford is not shooting in, but is boxing tight. Left by Ford. Ford charges in looking for the takedown and is caught in a americana by Mac! Ford puts up a good fight but has to tapout giving Mac the decisive victory.
"Dynomite" pays "The Real Deal" all the respect in the world for having taken the fight but promises him a beating if they ever step into the ring together again. You can see that despite the trash-talking there is huge respect there. That was an excellent fight. We always knew that this matchup would create fireworks in the ring, and the outcome definitely did not disappoint. With Mac moving up the ladder, we could very well see a new champion in the making. As soon as the fight ended, people from both corners stormed into the ring. It looked for a moment like extracurricular fisticuffs would ensue, but Mac's corner reaction was based in jubilation, not frustration.
