This fight saw Light Heavyweight Warner and Arutha go to war in a back-and-forth affair.
You could feel the tremendous respect these two fighters have for each other, as they touched gloves prior to the start of the fight. But as the retired to their respective corners, you couldnt help but realize that that wouldnt stop them from attempting to hurt the other as soon as that bell rung. You know, I don't think we're going to see a quick fight here. I really don't. Both of these guys have trained for a long fight and know that exhausting themselves in the first round is going to make it harder for them as the fight progresses. The fighters touch gloves in a show of respect.
Both guys circle and feel each other out and the crowd wants action. Warner misses a high kick and Arutha "The Predator" Darkmoor connects with a strikes in the mount. After recovering, Warner scored a big punch that dropped Arutha "The Predator" Darkmoor. They scramble briefly but end up in the same position. Warner is stacking and trying an leglock from within the guard. He lets go and rises to punch. Ben "Rude Boy" Warner turns his back after a missed knee that causes "The Predator" to land a nice right hand and force Ben "Rude Boy" Warner to the fence standing with "The Predator"'s flurry of punches. After blasting Arutha on his feet and on the floor, Ben looked for a key lock, which he finally locked up after falling into his guard. Feeling the horrible pressure, Arutha went into survival mode, just hanging on until the round ended. As he walked back to his corner during the break, he looked noticeably the worse for wear.
In round 2 "Rude Boy" dominated in convincing fashion, taking down his opponent and punishing him against the cage. "Rude Boy" looks for an triangle/kimura and then lands a nice upkick as "The Predator" backs off. "Rude Boy" goes for a leg scissors choke, and breifly sinks it, but "The Predator" slips out. Ben was just too relentless, and soon "The Predator" was in no condition to continue, and Ben secured the TKO victory by exhaustion.
It was a tactical fight, both were fighting well, the announcers said after the fight. "Rude Boy" was just able to make him Arutha play into his game.
