Competing in Fantasy Fights

  1. Fantasy MMA Events
  2. Fight Cards
  3. Bet Cards
  4. Betting

To compete in Fantasy MMA sports, you need to create a Fantasy Fighter, then join a Fantasy Organization where you will be matched up into fantasy fights with other fighters.

  1. 1. Fantasy MMA Events

Fantasy MMA Events are the equivalent of the real-world MMA events (eg Pride Shockwave, or UFC 80 or K-1 Heroes). They consist of a Fight Card specifying fights between fantasy fighters. Each event also has a Bet Card associated with it listing upcoming real-world MMA fights. The fantasy fighters competing on the Fight Card, will predict the outcomes of the Bet Card fights to determine their own fight outcomes.

  2. 2. Fight Cards

Fantasy Fight cards are the listing of fights between fantasy fighters on a specific Fantasy Event. These fights may be assigned to a certain weight class, at which point each fantasy fighter will be required to weigh in at that weight range for the fight or forfeit if they do not. Each fight may also have associated with it stipulations, such as a championship matchup, or a matchup for the #1 contendership for a particular championship belt. After all the real-world fights listed on the Bet Card have been completed, the Fight Card fights will automatically be scored, and the outcomes added to the fantasy fighter records.

  3. 3. Bet Cards

Bet Cards are associated with Fantasy Events, and list the real-world MMA fights that the fantasy fighters fighting in the event will predict the outcomes for. The actual outcomes for these Bet Card fights will be compared against the predictions made and score awarded for the fantasy fighters. These scores will be compared between opponents to determine the winner of the fight.

  4. 4. Betting

When making your bets on a Bet Card, you will be shown a list of every real-world fight listed on the card. A max number of bets for each bet card may be placed, which may be lower than the total number of fights listed. You still may bet on every fight, but only the max number of bets allowed will be counted when the results are scored.

While placing your bets, your prioritize each bet. If the 'max bets' value is lower than the total number of fights on the bet card, then this prioritization will be an important part of your bet, otherwise if the 'max bets' is equal to the number of fights on the bet card you can disregard this feature.

The bet prioritization determines which of your bets you would like to use as your preferred bets, and the rest will be backups in case any of the fights are dropped from the card. The lower the number the more preffered the fight, so specifiy a rank of '1' for your top choice, '2' for you next top choice.
